Harvesting & Purity *

To ensure that only authentic plant and marine extracts go into Natura Petz Organics products, all raw materials are subjected to a battery of tests, including the following:

a physical organoleptic analysis which encompasses macroscopic and stereoscopic analysis,

particle size, both larva and insect contamination,

color, smell and taste characteristics

drying and storage conditions.

If there is any doubt concerning plant or marine extract identity, we perform a micrographic test. Likewise, the moisture percentage is analyzed by the gravimetric methods. The ash determination is also measured.

Next, we perform a microbiological, sanitary analysis which includes the determination of the most probable number of microorganisms (NMP/g) through the methods recommended in the International Pharmacopoeias. Mold and yeast recount is performed. The finished products require additional analysis which include an aerobes recount on the plaque and microbiological analysis.

We also formulate and prepare our products based upon the documented use under traditional medical systems; guarantee that the correct species of plants shown on the labels matches what is in the bottle; utilize sustainably grown and wild or organically harvested plants and marine products that are the freshest and highest quality plants possible but are also free of chemicals, preservatives, additives, fillers or contaminates.

Further testing for moisture content, dissolution, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium) and microbial content are performed on every batch, including Aristolochic Acid and Chloramphenicol testing.

When the products arrive in the United States for manufacturing, they are reviewed by the Food and Drug and US Customs to further guarantee that every element that goes into Natura Petz herbals and supplements meets the absolute highest standards for purity and safety.
