THE PETZ KITCHEN™ CAMU CAMU is a whole food, organic extract produced from a low-growing shrub native to the Amazon rainforests and Amazon river basins of Peru, which is often harvested via canoe along the river banks. CAMU CAMU's natural phytochemical content may be instrumental in helping to build all types of collagen, including:

Type I: The most common form of collagen, found in the GI tract; may help build bones, help heal wounds and may help maintain skin elasticity.

Type II: Related to helping build cartilage found in connective tissues, especially important in cases of age related joint pain and joint decline caused by arthritis.
