THE PETZ KITCHEN™ - TURMERIC CURCUMA is a root based plant that thrives in the tropical rain forests of the Peruvian Amazon, with a very different phytochemical and nutritional profile than Ayurvedic origins.

It is prized as a fat soluble, super food and antioxidant power house containing 96% bio-available curcuma, (curcuminoids) which is the active part of the plant that imparts its potential health benefits.

TURMERIC also contains essential oils, protein, vitamins A, C, E and K; minerals calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, zinc plus fiber and electrolytes, and has been attributed with helping boost or balance immunity as needed; as a natural anti-inflammatory, it may help protect the body from oxidative stress, due to its COX inhibitor properties it may help address arthritis stiffness and joint pain, due to its leukotriene inhibitor, decongestant and anti-histamine properties, it may help limit allergies and address asthma and other breathing disorders.

TURMERIC is fat soluble, not water soluble, so in order for your pet to derive benefits from turmeric and curcumin, it must be activated by a carrier oil. We suggest organic coconut oil or Sacha Inchi (organic plant based Omega 3 and 6 fatty acid) to ensure your pet gets full spectrum, bio-available health benefits.

TURMERIC has been well studied for a variety of potential health benefits, including its efforts to inhibit free radical damage throughout the body and may also help limit multiple inflammation pathways in the brain and stomach, and endocrine, cardiovascular, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, reproductive, immune and excretory systems, by helping to cool inflammatory response throughout the animal body.

TURMERIC may help improve digestion due to its effects to suppress inflammation in the gut, may help cleanse and detoxify the liver, kidneys and gall bladder, may help conditional needs related to cognitive disease such as Alzheimer's, by helping limit micro-inflammation in the brain, safely crossing the blood-brain barrier to help provide crtiical trace nutrients to the brain, helping inhibit beta-amyloid protein plaque buildup and helping support the neurological, endocrine and cardiovascular link.

TURMERIC may help oxygenate the blood and encourage blood circulation, may help halt mutations in DNA related to cancer formation, and may help block the production of enzymes that cancer needs to spread and TURMERIC curcumin content may also help prevent heart disease and strokes by inhibiting the build-up of plaque in the arteries, including the arteries that provide the brain with essential oxygen and nutrients.
