SKU:Organic BOSWELlIA (Serrata) POWDER, also known as frankincense, is a resinous tree commonly found in the dry, mountainous regions of India, the Middle East and North and East Africa.
Its gum resin is used in traditional medical systems as an anti-inflammatory (may help inhibit pro-inflammatory enzymes), for aches, pains and swelling related to joints, muscles, tendons and connective tissues reduced joint flexibility and range of motion and for the conditional needs related to rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Organic BOSWELLIA POWDER* contains active triterpene boswellic acids, used traditionally as a digestive support and to help promote gut health, as an anti-inflammatory for reducing inflammation in the gut, and as a gastroprotective to help neutralize excess stomach acid to help protect the stomach lining.
The same anti-inflammatory mechanism of action may also help reduce bowel inflammation and help act as a decongestant for bowel health. BOSWELLIA'S essential oils may help control intestinal infections related to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Ulcerative Colitis (UC), Crohn's disease.
Boswellia’s anti-microbial actions may also help support the conditional needs of GERD, acid reflux, idiopathic dyspepsia, eczema and acne.
BOSWELLIA POWDER* may be an important dietary addition related to its immune promoting, leukotriene moderation and for conditional needs related to wound healing, sores, abscess, and inflammation commonly attributed to the conditional needs of respiratory disorders, such as asthma.
BOSWELLIA POWDER exerts specific anti-inflammatory actions on the body, including inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase which reduces the production of leukotrienes and pro-inflammatory cytokines, inhibits leukocyte elastase, a common driver for rheumatoid arthritis, and inhibits NF-kB pathways, which decrease the production of specific pro-inflammatory cytokines.
