Drug Interactions

May interact with medications that increase the risk of bleeding, including aspirin, anticoagulants ("blood thinners") such as warfarin (Coumadin®) or heparin, anti-platelet drugs such as clopidogrel (Plavix®), and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen (Motrin®, Advil®) or naproxen (Naprosyn®, Aleve®). Maca may act as a stimulant and cause hypertension (high blood pressure). Pets taking medication for high blood pressure, or those taking other stimulant medications, should consult with a qualified Vet before combining therapies. 

Cautions

Do not to administer pregnant or nursing pets, to affected by hypertension or pets who are post operative, pets that have a hypersensitivity or allergy to bees, honey or pollen, or an allergy to ragweed and chrysanthemums. Cautioned for pets with blood disorders or liver disease. Do not exceed suggested dosage.
