Nutrition plays a critical role in the health of bone, teeth, eye, skin and coat health as well as has a direct impact on digestion, native gut flora, the immune system as well as the liver, kidneys and other organs and tissues in the animal body. Plant botanicals provide additional layers of nutritional support and help promote the process of free radical scavenging and boosts the skin’s ability to withstand exposure to unwanted toxins, viruses, bacteria, allergens, antigens and microorganisms by helping support proper liver, adrenal, immune, and intestinal function. Plants can also protect digestive health, including bleeding issues.

Conventional Remedies:

Because Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis can be fatal, contact your vet immediately. Patients do not usually present dehydration, but it occurs quickly, leading to low blood pressure, an elevated red blood cell count, shock, blood clotting problems, and kidney failure. Subcutaneous fluids are usually required to prevent dehydration.

Your vet may conduct a complete blood count (CBC), a biochemical profile, urinalysis, fecal examination, and collect bacterial cultures. Gastrointestinal bleeding is usually diagnosed by a process of elimination, since there are several other disorders that produce bloody vomiting and diarrhea. Treatment may involve hospitalization.
