Bacterial Infections

Herbal remedies for dogs and cats to relieve and prevent bacterial infection.

Nutrition plays a major role in skin and bone health. Healthy skin and bones are a result of a well-functioning, synchronized effort by the immune system, tissues and organs in the body, and plant botanicals provide skin support, help to maintain the skin’s ability to withstand and repair the effects of topical skin wounds, scars, burns, environmental exposure to toxins and bacterial antigens and microorganisms.

Bacteria are single cell organisms that reproduce by dividing. There are both good and bad forms of bacteria. Good bacteria benefits our pet’s health and environment, whereas, harmful bacteria, which accounts for just 1% of all types of bacteria, causes illness and infection. When pets develop a bacterial infection that is left untreated, it can lead to more severe health complications.

Symptoms/signs of a bacterial infection include:

Fever

Abscesses on the skin

Wound infections

Infections of the skin, eyes, ears, urinary tract or respiratory system

Inflammation and redness

Loss of appetite

Coughing

Runny nose or eyes

Vomiting

Lesions

Pain and discomfort

Lethargy and weakness

Fleas, mosquitoes, ticks, allergies, weakened immune system, stress, poor diet and underlying illnesses may all contribute to bacterial skin infections.
